Greetings 1st Grade Students & Parents!
I am so thrilled to be a co-teacher of your child's 1st grade class at Waterleaf Elementary!
I would like to introduce myself to you, and I really look forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the 2012-2013 school year! The theme we have is SURVIVOR and it is so fun!
I have been a teacher with Duval County Public Schools for 10 years. I have taught at three different schools, in very different locations in Duval County to gain various experiences. The grades I have taught were 2nd and 4th, and at the third school I was a Mathematics Coach, where I coached teachers in grades K-5 in mathematics.
I am a graduate of the University of North Florida, where I received my Bachelors and Masters in Educational Leadership. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.
I am married to a wonderful guy who owns a local small insurance business, and we have two beautiful children. Aiden is my son, he is 7, and in 2nd grade. Avarie is my daughter, she is 5, and in Kindergarten. They will more than likely join me at Waterleaf for the 2013-2014 school year. We live off Kernan Boulevard, and they both currently attend Kernan Trail Elementary.
