Science Labs with Electricity!

The past couple of weeks we have been conducting Science Labs to show different forms of energy! The first lab we had TONS of fun with was on Static Electricity!! We learned that the negatively charged particles move from the cloth to balloons so the charge is unbalanced. This creates static electricity because opposite charges attract so the negatively charged object gets stuck to the positively charged object.









After we studied static electricity, we started learning about electrical currents! Today the students made series circuits and parallel circuits. The students really started understanding why it is better to have parallel circuits in homes!! They actually demonstrated what it would be like if a light bulb was not working in a circuit!
