In class today I felt great about the book we shared about excellence. The discussion we had was so powerful. We should always remember the cod fish who was determined to become a dragon.
When we try our best at everything we do, we will eventually succeed. Even if we do not succeed the first try, we should try, try again. When there are scary words or people who intimidate us from striving for excellence, we need to not pay any attention and persevere.
I really appreciated the two comments about a 'certain teacher' today after lunch during our roses and thorns about excellence. I know that I made an impact today when I shared my personal experiences, and I hope I made a difference in your (my students) lives. Reach for the stars!
I cannot wait until we share the next story about character. What country will the next one be from? It is amazing how these important character traits come from all parts of our world. This program has definitely built our community. Hopefully these lessons will stay with you forever.

I completly agree with Mrs. Taylor! The character lesson on excellence was great. All students had something wonderful to add to the discussion and were actively involved. Each story has given us something meaningful to focus on as a class and is really making a positive impact!!!
This is really cool. I've finally got a chance to get on here. I agree as well. The character lessons are really good for our kids. I think they are learning positive traits that will really help them succeed in the future.
